I now work as advisor for the LPOC, offering entirely independent advice on all issues pertaining to listed buildings, from detailing and architectural history, through materials science and mechanisms of decay, to obtaining LBC and PP - plus everything in between. I also write articles for the magazine and answer members' letters.

I am still employed in the capacity of Heritage Officer - but have now taken a permanent role in beautiful Suffolk - with 7000 LBs in the two districts I now cover.....

I worked on two separate short term contracts, in between work at Bedford and completing my PhD, which allowed me to visit and influence the conservation or change of some the finest late mediaeval timber framed properties in Britain. A fabulous county for anyone interested in the evolution of timber framed buildings in England.
