I specialise in tax administration, tax dispute resolution and litigation, and have advised on the resolution and/or settlement of several multi-billion Rand corporate income tax and customs and excise disputes. I also regularly advise on a wide range of tax issues for both South African and multinational groups, including the indirect tax implications of cross-border trade, the tax consequences of employee incentive schemes, advice pertaining to insolvency and business rescue matters, and the establishment of a business presence in South Africa.I have an LLB degree, a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax Law (awarded with Distinction) and a PhD in Tax Law, with a focus on tax administration and dispute resolution, from the University of Cape Town.
