I Dr K. Karthik Selva Kumar, presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Green Energy Technology at Pondicherry University, Puducherry. Previous to that I was a POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (August- 2018 – Jan 2020) at IIT-GUWAHATI (Govt of India).Research work at IIT Guwahati: Fluid-Structure Interaction Modelling in Vertical Axis Wind Turbines.I have obtained my PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology-Dhanbad, India on Jan 2017 in the area of Fluid-Structure Interaction and contributed to the areas of Fluid-Structure Interaction (CFD) with 19 research publications among which (17 SCI/Web of Science/ Scopus indexed Journals & international and national conferences). I have performed my Doctoral Research work in both Experimental and Numerical Experimental: Open Channel Sub Sonic Wind Tunnel Experimental Test Rig,Numerical: Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian(2D), LBM (2D Simulation using D2Q9 Lattice with BGK Collision Model) & Large Eddy Simulation (3D Simulation Using SGS Sub Grid Scale Model)I have completed my doctoral research work in the area of fluid-structure interaction; In addition, I have published a Book entitled “Fluid-Structure Interaction: An Experimental overview” in an international Publishers and a Book chapter entitled “Wake interaction using Lattice Boltzmann Method” in an international Publishers from the USA. Apart from the research activities, has given full involvement in the departmental development activities such as the development of research laboratory (i.e. Advance Research Laboratory & Fluid Flow Laboratory in the Department of Mining Machinery Engineering.)
