I spearheaded DCA’s new clinical strategy developed around the pillars of lifestyle medicine, and drove step change of the business from a reactionary illness service to a proactive/preventative health service. Worked extensively with internal and external stakeholders to shape truly innovative ways of delivering healthcare, with patients at the centre, and using technology to improve access and service.▪ Launched My Health, a self-care platform with a comprehensive suite of diagnostic tools and content that enables people to evaluate their health and support self-management; focused on Sleep, Activity, Stress, Nutrition, Connection and Substance Misuse; representing the first change to the platform since its inception. ▪ Pioneered development of new asynchronous consultations product line, leading clinical design and rollout of an innovative fast-delivery, low-cost-to-serve mechanism powered by the independent prescribing community of clinical pharmacists and nurses.

I led the clinical delivery of DCA’s Virtual General Practice service, including development of a new operational and governance structure, and the resourcing required to scale VGP and subsequently rapidly expedite plans in the face of COVID-19.▪ I led the clinical response to COVID-19, scaling service from 5,000 appointments per month to >5,000 per week; developed new clinical operations procedures, redesigned recruitment to keep pace with demand, shortening time from first contact to fully onboarded, and developed a new triage method, replacing GPs with nurses and paramedics.▪ Instituted a clinically-led structure and mindset, optimising patient experience whilst driving business efficiency; restructured the clinical team into clear lines of business (operations, governance, product, and people) that aligned with wider business functions and promoted clinical leadership in line with the CEO’s vision.

I delivered day-to-day leadership and management, overseeing 18 consultants. Was part of a multi-agency pilot for integrated urgent treatment centre model in the two hospital sites, which was successfully adopted.

Carnival UK is a market leader within the Cruise Industry, known for its brands P&O Cruises and Cunard Line.As Head of Department I managed the Medical Operations, Occupational Health and Public Health areas of the business, and also had a significant responsibility for Safeguarding of Vulnerable People. I fulfilled the role of Responsible Person as designated in national healthcare legislation (The Medical Profession (Responsible Officer) (Amendment) Regulations 2013).I led a shoreside team of 16 professional and administration staff, and a ship-based fleet of over 90 doctors and nurses. I provided 24/7/365 clinical support to the fleet and the wider business.
