Dr. Katherine Meza is an accomplished, driven professional with over 10 years of service at The Boeing Company. She has over five years of research experience, two years of teaching experience and over fifteen years of industry experience in multiple industries including manufacturing, aerospace, and government. Ergonomics InternLennox International May 2004 - Aug 2004Responsible for ergonomic assessments at two manufacturing plants to reduce work related injuries reflected on incident reports due to musculoskeletal injuries as a result of repetitive stress. Each plant had over 300 employees, divided between approximately 8 production lines, ranging between 8-15 workstations. Responsible for evaluating the workstations, identifying the root cause, developing plans of action, and implementing solutions. The most critical workstations were redesigned; changes included modifying workstation layout, purchasing new equipment, and building adjustable workstations. As a result, the number of musculoskeletal injuries decreased and a permanent ergonomics program was implemented.
