Ph.D. student in Prof. Dr. Franc Meyer's group, fully funded by the Research Training Group (RTG) “Benchmark Experiments for Numerical Quantum Chemistry” (BENCh) implements a high-level research programme aiming to provide landmark experiments for quantum chemical methods benchmarking.Thesis Title: Tailoring and Exploiting Magnetic anisotropy of low-coordinate 3d transition metal complexes.Projects:• 3d transition metal-based Single molecule magnets. (SMMs)• Small molecule activation(N2 activation) of low-coordinate 3d metal based complexes.• Quantum chemistry with High-level ab initio calculations (CASSACF/NEVPT2)Accomplishments:• Carrying out air- and temperature- sensitive inorganic synthesis.• Characterising metal-complexes with spectroscopic methods: IR, Raman, EPR, UV-Vis, NMR.• Carrying out magnetic measurements and simulation with Magnetometer(SQUID).• Performing ab initio calculation (CASSCF/NEVPT2) for realisation of spin-phonon coupling.• Tutoring the theory and hand-on practice of CW-EPR spectroscopy techniques for master students for four years.• Committee member of BENCh workshop 2020.• Hosting external Professors for scientific seminars and lectures.• Attending national and international conferences with poster and oral presentations.
