Lead high-level projects and initiatives focused on student and staff belonging, well-being, and growth on a campus of 24,000 students, and serve on the Dean for Students senior leadership team. Lead Student & Campus Life’s strategic planning efforts, including a steering committee, needs assessments, long-term planning, 7 divisional workgroups, feedback opportunities, and strategies for divisional alignment. Provide strategic vision and leadership to the Centers for Student Equity, Empowerment, & Belonging, consisting of 8 identity-based centers, two associate deans/co-director level reports, and 15 additional staff. Oversee the evaluation, re-development, and implementation of policies, systems, and services for Student Conduct & Community Standards, and Student Support & Advocacy Services to focus on holistic student development, education outcomes, restorative practices, trauma-informed care, and identity-conscious support. Oversee hiring and onboarding processes for positions in the Dean of Students (DOS) portfolio, including Crisis Services; Equity, Empowerment, and Belonging; and Student Conduct and Community Standards. Lead efforts to strengthen relationships between the DOS area and academic partners to better support students navigating academic concerns, financial insecurities, crisis situations, and mental health issues. Provide coaching to 6 senior leaders focused on skill-building, team development, and organizational change. Serve on Cornell’s campus-wide Behavior Intervention Team in the absence of the Dean of Students.

Directed the comprehensive residential life program housing 6,000 students in 12 residence halls at an urban campus of 40,000, and served as a member of the Division of Student Affairs senior leadership team. Oversaw the hiring, training, and supervision of 30 professional and 315 student employees (5 direct reports). Assisted in the development and management of a $90M budget and directly managed $4M. Directed all residential curricular and co-curricular initiatives that supported academic success and retention, student learning and development, community engagement, leadership, and inclusion. Oversaw 16 Living Learning Communities with 1,400 total students and the development of new communities.
