As CEO and Co-Founder of Refugee Crisis Foundation, a British charity and international humanitarian organisation, I lead and oversee the development and implementation of healthcare initiatives for refugees, with a focus on oral and ear healthcare services, and educational needs of children with learning difficulties. Responsibilities:• Multi-Sector Engagement and Partnerships: Leading collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders, including the UNHCR, WHO, FDI World Dental Federation, the Bangladesh government, the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and various academic institutions in the UK and Bangladesh.• Programme Development and Management: Leading locally led, sustainable programmes aimed at building capacity and up-skilling the local workforce. • Oral Healthcare Service: Delivering oral healthcare services for refugees in Bangladesh, including four dental clinics, a mobile dental service, and an oral health promotion programme for children.• Hearing Loss Rehabilitation: Leading a trial aimed at rehabilitating hearing loss in refugee children using low-cost bone conduction headsets. • Grant-Funded Research Initiatives: Secured a research grant from the Academy of Medical Science to conduct a horizon scanning activity to assess the educational landscape within refugee camps in Bangladesh and design a support tool for children with learning disabilities.• Research and Evidence-Based Interventions: Conducting high-quality research to inform the design, delivery, integration, and evaluation of healthcare services.• Rebuilding dental education in Gaza: Joint program with PalMed Academy and dental universities in Gaza.
