Chief Operating officer for a IT element who is responsible for providing Tactical, Strategic and Commercial Army Command, Control, Communications, and Computing support to all Army and Civilian Personnel in the Pacific to include Japan, Okinawa, Korea, Hawaii, Guam and Alaska. Oversees $118 million dollar budget and ensures the success of a 3800 person professional IT organization spread throughout the Pacific.Exercises primarily leadership competencies to direct and manage programs through subordinate supervisors and managers, each whom is responsible for the technical direction of assigned programs. Broad responsibilities in the day to day management, operations, and direction of a 200 person staff. Serves as a strategic advisor to the Commanding General and Executive Director on staff support, resources, and requirements issues; directs short and long range programs addressing a broad range of Army Signal strategic and tactical requirements and interests. Principal advisor in relation to installations/activities on a broad array of financial, manpower, policy and management matters and projects. Furnishes financial, manpower, policy and program advice in connection with the economics of plans and programs and their relationship/utilization of resources.
