1. Expertise in yarn and fabric manufacturing:I have vast experience of textile mills manufacturing yarn and fabric. I have worked in the mills manufacturing yarn and fabric in different Textile mills (The New Victoria Mills, Kanpur; Meja Spinning Mills, UPSSM, Allahabad UP; The Elgin Mills, Kanpur, UP). I worked in UP State Textile Spinning Mills Co. for one and half years as Apprentice Officer. I worked for more than one and half years in ‘The Elgin Mills Pvt. Ltd, Kanpur’, a British India Corporation Textile Mills as a Shift In-charge in Spinning. 2. I played a lead role in executing many DRDO, R&D projects work. Major project activity involves project preparation, Planning and execution for development of new items/ products as per Army requirement. This involved research activities related to prototype development for High Altitude and Glacier region, thermal protective clothing, habitat textile items and conductive textiles for camouflage & stealth and equipments for EMI shielding/ microwave protective fabrics. Project/ activities related to development of PVC coated fabrics for camouflage properties, Radar absorbing fabrics, NIR reflective fabrics, mesh structured leno based fabrics have also been developed and produced successfully. Development of PVC coated fabric for tarpaulins with camouflage pattern for vehicles. Development of 3D structured multi-spectral camouflage system for Air Force. 3. Area of Specialization: a. Development of electrical conductive textiles for camouflage and stealth. Spinning of stainless steel fibre yarn and SS/ polyester blended yarn with low linear resistance and high conductivity. Preparation of sheath core yarn, core being conducting fibre (SS fibre) and PET fibre at sheath using DREF -III Friction spinning Techniques. Development and study of conducting fabric: Preparation of woven fabric containing conducting yarn either in warp or in warp & weft both. Design and development of engineered hybrid woven conducting fabric for Microwave Interaction, EMI shielding, Radar Camouflage, and Stealth Applications. Preparation of electrical conducting fabric by coating of formulation containing conducting ingredients viz. carbon black, CNT, ferrite materials, carbon milled fibre etc. b. Development and productionisation of thermal insulating textile materials for high altitude and glacier region: Various glacier textile items have been bulk productionised. These items are - Cap Glacier, Poncho, Jacket and Trouser Wind Cheater, Gaiter, and Polypropylene based Inner thermal garments, Gloves ECW etc
