I am responsible for undertaking complex research and analysis and collaborating and communicating to develop, keep current and implement the Rural Assistance Authority's (RAA) policy framework and evaluation program. The RAA is a part of the NSW Department of Primary Industries, which is in the Department of Regional NSW cluster. It provides tailored access to loans, grants, rebates and subsidies for primary producers and small business operators.

I thrive in creating outcomes based on improving public value for communities, the environment and individuals.I am a highly self-motivated and results-driven policy, legislation, governance, risk and WHS (health and wellbeing) professional with proven experience in project management in the NSW Government sector. I currently work for DPE as a Senior WHS Project Officer in the Health and Wellbeing team. In this role, I manage and oversee all aspects of project planning, development and implementation for a range of projects assigned to me; manage projects and project teams; build and maintain stakeholder relationships; undertake research and formulate recommendations to support evidence-based project planning and decision making; and monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, assess project progress and effectiveness, and achieve project outcomes. I am currently focussing on contributing to the delivery of the department's Health and Wellbeing Strategy in aspects of both physical and psychological health and wellbeing at the organisational, team and individual levels. This involves being a keynote speaker on Women's Wellbeing in the Workplace.

My role is to deliver governance and risk assessment frameworks, tools and systems for water and Crown lands management and planning across NSW, and to monitor and analyse the implementation and outcomes of risk and governance frameworks and implement a continuous improvement process.My broad key accountabilities are to:• implement strategic governance and risk assessment frameworks for water and Crown lands management consistent with NSW Government and NSW Department of Industry frameworks• monitor, evaluate and report on the implementation and outcomes of risk and governance frameworks across the Lands and Water Division• collaborate with the Lands and Water Division to deliver specific governance and risk assessment services to support the delivery of work programs• develop and deliver specialist risk and governance tools for Crown lands and water management across the Lands and Water Division• identify business process improvement opportunities and implement a continuous improvement process• mentor and guide officers and support staff, ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements, to successfully deliver priorities and initiatives and to provide quality control of the team’s outputs• prepare Cabinet submissions, Ministerial briefing notes and correspondence and provide expert advice and information on risk and governance issues.

• Develop and implement policy for, and provide high level advice on strategy and policy development for water management initiatives and legislation, with a particular focus on surface water.• Liaise and conduct negotiations with NOW staff, other agencies and stakeholders on the development of surface water policies.• Undertake strategic analysis of government proposals, reports, department working papers and related information to identify issues and recommend changes to senior NOW management and the Minister.• Prepare Cabinet submissions, Ministerial briefing notes and correspondence, press releases and speeches on water management issues.• Monitor progress on key implementation strategies and develop and assess key performance indicators.
