Dr Leanne Harper Email and Phone Number
Hey, I'm Leanne. I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years experience working in mental health, and I am on a mission to share clinical, scientific knowledge in real life settings. I have worked in community mental health teams, emergency departments, and prison services, and supported people at various different stages in their lives, both in the UK and in Australia. I offer therapy, supervision, training, and workshops about mental health – with a main aim to make mental health awareness as widely accessible as possible.I am experienced in offering brief interventions, including one-off single session focused therapy, and longer-term therapy to support with helping you to get the most out of life. My specialisms including understanding our relationships, with ourselves and others (noticing when we keep finding ourselves replaying the same pattern), and working with self-belief, anxiety, and adapting to major life changes (for example physical health changes, moving countries, or learning to put boundaries in place with people/ jobs we love).I trained as a Doctor in Clinical Psychology at the University of Liverpool (qualifying in 2021), and also spent 12 months living and working in Australia, where I was registered with the Australian Health Practice Regulation as a Psychologist. I have since returned to the UK, and now work in the NHS and private practice.I have worked in crisis mental health support (such as A&E), community mental health, and forensic settings, and have published research into mindfulness and PTSD. Because of these experiences, I often work with people who have stressful jobs (such as police office, mental health professionals, and people working in high-risk settings) to support with re-finding a work life balance, self-confidence, and anxiety. I have also worked within general hospitals, with people with health conditions and health anxiety, and with people who everyone else would described as ‘high achievers’ – even though you often feel like a fraud yourself. In addition to one-to-one therapy, I offer team consultation for teams who work with complexity, risk, and people with mental health difficulties (such as crisis services, police, fire and ambulance services, and residential care). These consultation spaces can support psychologically informed practice, staff wellbeing, continued professional development, and trauma informed care.I also offer bespoke workshops and training on understanding our own mental health, and those people around us.

Chartered Clinical PsychologistThe Women'S Therapy Practice Sep 2023 - PresentLondon, England, United KingdomDo you find yourself pleasing everyone, often at the detriment of yourself? Maybe people tell you that you’re ‘doing so well’, & ‘such an inspiration’… but deep down you feel like a fraud; like if they only saw the real you, they’d see things differently. I specialise in working with women struggling with imposter syndrome, work life balance and low self-esteem. I work within a relational framework, often drawing on CAT, ACT, and CFT, to support you to make the changes you want to make.In addition, I also offer early morning appointments, meaning that you are still able to find time in your day to prioritise therapy. Charted Clinical PsychologistSelect Psychology Ltd Jan 2023 - PresentI offer remote therapy to UK clients during evenings and early mornings, meaning that you can attend after putting children to bed, caring responsibilities, or after long working hours so that you are still able to find time in your day to prioritise therapy. I specialise in relationally-informed interventions, to help people to understand past and current relationships (which can include romantic relationships, friendships, and, most importantly, our relationship with ourselves), and work together to understand and change patterns that are no longer helpful. -
