The nonprofit Perot Museum of Nature and Science is the top cultural attraction in Dallas/Fort Worth and a Michelin Green Guide three-star destination. As CEO, Dr. Silver provides leadership for all aspects of the Museum, including development and implementation of strategic direction and financial management; overall management of daily operations, fundraising and program development; and relations with staff, volunteers, board members, peer institutions and the broader community. Since joining the Museum, Dr. Silver has:• Fully renovated two of the Museum’s 11 permanent galleries and developed the Museum’s first in-house curated exhibition – Origins: Fossils from the Cradle of Humankind – in partnership with National Geographic and Witwatersrand University, South Africa. Also debuted the Paleo Lab providing visitors real-time views of its field research and discoveries.• Assessed the Museum’s collections, acquired real estate and created a state-of-the-art facility where 150,000-plus specimens from the nearly century-old natural-history collections are stored in accordance with American Alliance of Museums standards. The facility also houses new laboratories and offices for Museum research scientists.• Worked with the Board of Directors to diversify its membership and streamline committee processes. Also established a staff committee to address inclusion, diversity, equality and other issues • (Prior to COVID-19), delivered bottom-line, multi-million-dollar surpluses by focusing on top-line strategies of driving earned revenues• Moved the Museum from a mono-lingual institution to one reflecting Texas’ demographics by ensuring all new exhibits are bilingual and presented in English and Spanish• Improved accessibility by establishing Community Partners, a program funded by the late Ross Perot and his wife Margot, providing $1 general admission to underserved families who qualify and free admission to eligible military, first responders and educators

Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee (TDC) functions as a multi-stakeholder government coordinating body responsible for the Emirate’s Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Vision and delivers programs aimed at building a sustainable and diversified knowledge economy, well integrated into the global ecosystem.• Managed the Abu Dhabi Science Center (ADSC) project from initial business planning, feasibility studies, site location review and global benchmarking. (ADSC is conceived as an interactive science museum slated to be built on the Masdar campus)• Directed and developed the full Education Program Plan for ADSC including more than 120 education program offerings• Solicited more than 100 million AED in sponsorships in support of ADSC galleries• Led the Content Unit in the procurement, development and management of all educational content for the annual Abu Dhabi Science Festival (2011-2016)

Visited by more than 330,000 people annually, Great Lakes Science Center is one of the USA's leading science and technology centers and home to NASA’s Glenn Visitor Center. It features hundreds of hands-on exhibits, themed traveling exhibits, daily science demonstrations, an OMNIMAX® Theater and operates the Steamship William G. Mather Museum as well as the NASA Glenn Visitor Center. It is the 9th-grade campus for Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s MC2 STEM high school.• Led the Science Center’s first-ever strategic planning process, aligning the Center’s signature science-education programs and exhibits with the economic strengths of Northeast Ohio• Completed a financial turn-around, taking the institution from operating losses to a balanced budget and creating a 75% earned-revenue business model• Developed robust relationships with diverse stakeholders from corporate, governmental and non-profit agencies to build and deliver cutting-edge science-education programming. Partners include NASA, the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals, Parker Hannifin, Cliffs Natural Resources and General Electric, among others• Led the merger/acquisition and relocation of the NASA Glenn Visitor Center and the Mather Museum to Great Lakes Science Center property• Directed capital build projects, including the erection of the first commercial-grade wind turbine on the American shores of the Great Lakes; construction of the MC2 STEM high school campus within Great Lakes Science Center in partnership with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District; installation of one of the state’s largest solar arrays to power the building; and construction of a glass connector between GLSC and the Mather Museum
