It is claimed that the single most important determinant of life success is the way we navigate our inner world of thoughts and emotions. With mental health issues on the rise, and wellbeing and happiness levels falling, there is an urgent need to understand the inner world of thoughts and emotions better. The role of positive thinking was not well understood, nor which specific emotional states can help or hinder goal success. My research findings highlight the normalcy of experiencing negative emotions such as self-doubt, anxiety, overwhelm and stress during the pursuit of goals. Many participants found solace in the realisation that their thoughts and emotions were shared by others, and they were not alone.The 40 Clarity Cards resulting from my doctoral study exploring the thoughts and emotions associated with goal achievement are categorised into four quadrants based on levels of energy and ease. They offer a structured approach to exploring our inner landscape, improve goal progress, create conversations that can foster deep connection and increase awareness around mental health.I am passionate about living life to the full and helping others to do the same.  Be brave and courageous – don’t just dream, do!  I am putting this into practice by facing my fears and riding RTW on a motorbike doing F2F research.
