He excels at building, empowering, and leading large teams and organizations that consistently outperform expectations.Over the past decade, Luke has progressed through increasingly senior leadership roles at Twitter and Microsoft, where he succeeded in building large engineering organizations and delivering scalable solutions to drive performance and revenue.Luke most recently served as the Senior Director of Revenue Science at Twitter, overseeing all revenue-generating products such as advertising, subscriptions, licensing, and peer-to-peer tipping. He successfully built a large organization, drove significant annual increases in revenue, and generated substantial OPEX/CAPEX budget reductions. He also implemented Machine Learning solutions to optimize ad delivery and enhance overall efficiency.During 2018-2021, Luke served as a Senior Manager and Director in charge of engineering, data science, and Machine Learning for Twitter’s Revenue Science unit. Within four years, he grew the department from 30 to 150 engineers through major recruiting efforts. He also grew annual revenue by more than $2.4B through the launch of Machine Learning models for ad targeting and ranking. Luke first joined Twitter in 2013 as a software engineer, and he quickly progressed to manage engineering operations for Twitter’s Ads Targeting & Modeling. As the engineering manager, he hired, built, and led a team of 15 engineers and performed an instrumental role in delivering multiple data models and Machine Learning solutions to intelligently track user data and more effectively target ads. As a software engineer, he developed Twitter’s ad keyword targeting, as well as gender, age, and geolocation-based ad targeting products.Prior to Twitter, Luke held multiple software development leadership roles at Microsoft, culminating in the Principal Software Development Lead. As the principal lead, he built and managed a team of ten engineers, developed strategy and roadmaps, optimized system architecture, and implemented multiple machine-learned models to improve Bing search results performance.
