 Provide expert technical supports and managerial responsibilities to Operation Manager at Biosecurity SA, PIRSA fruit fly emergency response team as qualify fruit fly entomologist.  In my role as Technical Manager of the newly established national SIT Facility, under the direction of the Executive Director of Biosecurity SA, I led and managed the technical team for day-to-day operations, quarantine control, research & development, liaised effectively with SITplus researchers, fruit fly Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) members, state and federal government representatives and other stake holders. I have effectively communicated and travelled in person locally (DPI NSW, DPI VIC) and internationally (USA, Mexico and Guatemala) to establish professional networks to source currently available rearing equipment and technology for the SIT Facility pilot set up and operation. Wherever necessary, I provided hands-on training and supervision to technical staffs to establish Bisexual Queensland fruit fly colonies, process implementation for quality control and led the technical team to make necessary modification of rearing equipment to increase efficiency and productivity to achieve desirable milestones on time.
