Enthusiastic young researcher who completed his graduation in pharmacy from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology with a first class. In the same year, he joined the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, Niper, S.A.S. Nagar for post-graduation. He worked on design and the synthesis of benzoxazole-2-carboxamide derivatives under Prof.Asit K. Chakraborti. During his masters, he gained various synthetic skills and analytical skills as well. Currently, Mainak is working as a PhD. Scholar in Drug Theoretics and Cheminformatics Laboratory, Jadavpur University, under the supervision of Prof. Kunal Roy. His research area is basically on the ecotoxicological risk assessment of chemical mixtures by the QSAR approach. Apart from that, he is also working on the development of the read-across algorithm and the uncertainty estimation of the same. He has published various research and review articles in this research area. He wants to explore machine-learning algorithms and other statistically predictive approaches in his area of interest in the future.
