Dr. Malik Muhammad has been a transformational leader and organizer for marginalized people for over 30 years. As an educator, Dr. Muhammad spent several decades serving both youth and adults as a teacher, Principal and Campus President. As a leader and CEO, he has led and founded large companies across human services sectors throughout the US and abroad. Always working with the underserved in urban and rural areas, he has focused on the power of organizations to “transform lives, one community at a time.” He is also actively involved in several national and international organizations, championing an emphasis on restorative leadership, cultural relevancy and improving community functioning.He is the author of The Restorative Journey - Book One: The Theory and Application of Restorative Practices, contributing author of Colorizing Justice: Voicing our Realities, and the recently released We Can Save Our Boys of Color: Pt. One.He has a BA in International Affairs from Franklin & Marshall College, an MA in Educational Leadership from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, and an Ed.D in Educational Leadership from the University of Delaware.
