I supervised my team as well as guide them to provide the care using evidence-based clinical practice standards and adhere to established protocols.My main duties were:• Provide overall management of patients in intensive care and other areas of the hospital as required • Formulate plans of management and co-ordinate appropriate consultation with other specialities.• Select and arrange appropriate investigations.• Participate in ward rounds and shift handover with consultants.• Ensure appropriate documentation occurs in the patient clinical record including a discharge summary upon transferring care to another provider.• Actively participate in quality improvement activities such as audit and peer review, patient safety initiatives ,reporting of clinical incidents and adhering to infection control policies.• Participate in the teaching and research activities of the clinical unit.

My primary job was to: • Provide overall management of patients in intensive care and other areas of the hospital as required • Management of adult critically ill patients mainly from cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery e.g. patients of myocardial infarction, post valve replacement etc• Day to day work in the Intensive Care Unit as Intubation and Ventilation, insertion of central venous lines, hemodialysis catheters, pleural tapping and intercostal drain placement, paracentesis etc.• As a part of team in management of patient both pre and postoperative for cardiac transplantation and insertion of Left ventricular assist device (LVAD)• Also giving sedation for bedside procedures like cardioversion, cardiac pacing and various other cardiac procedures etc• Apart from cardiac critical care, a separate ICU was dedicated to gastroenterology and liver transplant patients, as a dedicated team care was provided starting from pre to postoperative period and till the time of discharge especially taking care of adherence to infection control, selecting and arranging appropriate investigations , tracking of their immunosuppressants requirements &fluctuation, in close liaison with surgeons and hepatologist team• Participate in ward rounds and shift handover with consultants.• Ensure appropriate documentation occurs in the patient clinical record including a discharge summary upon transferring care to another provider.• Managing a separate Tele ICU(24×7), Asia first Teleicu of its kind, catering patients from various states in India like-Raigarh, Amritsar, Rajasthan and outside india too – Khulna in Bangladesh etc.
