Coptic Orphans (CO) is an international development organization that has transformed the lives of over 65,000 children in Egypt since 1988. Their mission is to break the cycle of poverty through long-term programs that focus on empwerment through education and knowledge. The initiative has fabulous resoults. The education completion rates range from 80% to 100% each year. Many children go on to achieve University Degrees. In 2020, Coptic Orphans was awarded special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.In 2020, Coptic Orphans earned its ninth consecutive 4-star rating, the highest awarded by Charity Navigator, and an honor earned by only 3% of the charities they evaluate.
