As Manager of Research and Partnerships at Algoma University, Martha Scott provides grant writing and research support services for academics, researchers and senior administrators. Dr. Scott is also a Research Associate at the Invasive Species Research Insititute (ISRI) and is working with Dr. Pedro Antunes on risk assessment of terrestrial invasive plants in Ontario. ISRI is the first Canadian hub in the North American Invasive Species Network, a three nation initative to provide science-based information about invasive species that theaten Canada, the United States and Mexico. Dr. Scott has twenty five years of experience in academic and business-based environments. Her academic and business credentials include: Ph.D. from U. of Guelph - 1985, NSERC postdoctoral fellow at U. of Toronto (1985 - 1989), contractually limited faculty at Trent University (1990 - 1993), Senior Ecologist at Azimuth Environmental Consulting Ltd.
