Working as a Project Geologist for RSC to perform key geological and technical duties to create value and make a positive difference for, clients, partners and stakeholders. Highlights include :-Remotely managing a soil sampling survey in Zambia by implementing digital data collection methods. -Training of local geologists to use digital collection methodologies. -Managed the analyses of samples by pXRF. Training and monitoring of a team of local Zambians to deliver the results. QC and processing of results for soil and drilling. -Data Quality Management for an exploration programme ensuring QA procedures were implemented and QC checks were undertaken. -Developed a data management and logging system for Air Core and Diamond Drilling.

SRK is a world-class global consultancy firm advising all aspects of the mining and mineral exploration industry. -Provide technical expertise and advice to a variety of clients from small investors to government surveys. -Lead teams out in the field to deliver the outcomes for our clients. -Project management on a range of field-based and office projects from inception to completion. This includes developing the bottom-up costing and proposal for the project, managing the programme and logistics for the scheme and keeping the client informed throughout the process.-Management and analysis of exploration data to streamline the collection and facilitate interpretation. Exploratory Data Analysis conducted in Python and Excel to produce easily understandable products for client presentations. -Develop innovations in exploration and provide training workshops and presentations internally and externally. For example, I have developed training for geochemical analysis in ioGAS software, teach new GIS workflows in QGIS and have developed new field-based data collection methods. I recently presented a workshop to the Uzbekistan government regarding innovations in Mineral Exploration. -Work as part of a small team in a range of hostile, remote and challenging environments across the world. Examples include the desert, jungle, arctic and tundra in Africa, Middle East and the Americas.

Thesis title - Gold Mineralisation in the Lone Star area of the Klondike Gold District, Yukon, Canada.Collaborated with an exploration company to develop new techniques to discover gold mineralisation.Received the following competitive scholarships and awards; NERC Industrial CASE award, $7500 Society of Economic Geology Foundation, £400 Mineralogical Society funding. Presented my research and its impact at 3 UK and 2 international conferences (100-300+ attendees).

Over 2 years I assisted in research conducted at University of Leeds funded by the Yukon Geological Survey. -In 2013 the study focussed on pathfinder minerals in placer gold at the Casino porphyry orebody in the Yukon. (Western Copper and Gold)-In 2014 the study focussed on the gold in the Nansen placer district with a focus on the epithermal veins at the Klaza property. (Rockhaven Resources).

My research highlighted the importance of a bedrock source of gold and I helped change the exploration strategy. I trained company geologists so that they could implement my PhD research findings into their work.

I developed new techniques for analysing gold to assist in mining, metallurgy and exploration.I presented research and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. I received an award for $6000 AUD to be part of the Discovering Australia’s Mineral Resources Research Program.

I helped to maintain and update the companies academic database of publications. I learnt how to edit and manage a large database of company information.

I spent time collecting soil and rock samples in remote areas of the Yukon. I also spent 10 days on a fly camp in the Yukon in a team of 4 where we prospected for Carlin style mineralisation. The remote nature of the exploration camp meant that I became experienced flying in and working with helicopters.
