Ahad is professionally employed in Sylhet Agricultural University as an Academic. Recently, he has completed a PhD at the College of Nursing & Health Sciences, Flinders University, South Australia. His research expertise centres around child rights and protection, child psychology and health, and marginalized children of South Asia. His PhD project is primarily focusing on the prevalence and impact analysis of maltreatment exposure of children. This area is still under-reported and narrowly studied in the context of South Asia, which influenced him to explore the area of intentional structural violence against disadvantaged children. In his early-phase research career, he has been started contributing in the area of child protection research and recommendations. Alongside his PhD progress, Ahad has been working as Research Associate with some inter-disciplinary research groups in Australia, who have been working with the systematic exploration of complexities surrounding disadvantaged child groups.
