I work as an Associate Professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Chur, Switzerland, in the research fields of Visual Analytics, Data Science, Information Visualization, Software Visualization, Graph Visualization, and Eye Tracking. I authored and co-authored more than 200 conference papers and journal articles in the field of visualization. Moreover, I am one of the organizers and paper co-chairs of the International Workshop on Eye Tracking and Visualization (www.etvis.org), the Workshop on Eye Tracking in Games and Play (PLEY 2020, 2021, 2022) (https://pleyws.wordpress.com/), the Workshop on Education and Eye Tracking (EDUEye 2022), paper co-chair of EMDPA 2020, VisSoft 2019, VINCI 2019, and VINCI 2021. I am in many International Program Committees and reviewed more than 1,100 papers and articles in my carreer. In 2020, I was general chair of VINCI in Eindhoven (December 8th to 10th in TU/e Filmzaal) and in 2022 I was general chair of VINCI in Chur, Switzerland (August 16th to 18th) .I am author of the book on "Eye Tracking and Visual Analytics" that got published on November 30th, 2021...I am also author of the book on "Dashboard Design" that will be available in September 2023...Our current project focuses on evaluating public transport maps, i.e., we record eye movement data of people while solving route finding tasks and analyze this spatio-temporal data. Another project focuses on dynamic graph analytics, i.e., we develop visual analytics techniques with the goal to derive insights and knowledge from time-varying network data. I am also researching genealogy data with the goal to detect patterns in the dynamics of people's living behavior.From December 1st 2017 to October 2020, I worked as an assistant professor for visual analytics in the group of Prof. Jarke J. van Wijk at the Technical University of Eindhoven.On October 1st, 2020, I started as a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Chur, Switzerland.
