I am a specialist sports & exercise physiotherapist with a specific interest in the knee and lower limb, who has worked at the elite level of sport with athletes from athletics, basketball, swimming, cricket, soccer (football) and Australian Rules Football for the past 30 years.I worked in the Australian Football League (St Kilda F.C.) for 14 years. This is the highest professional sport in Australia and equivalent to the NFL (US) or Premier League (UK).I attained my specialist sports physiotherapist title and membership at the Australian College of Physiotherapists in 2009 and am a specialist fellow of the IFSPT.I have lectured in Australia and overseas on my program for the assessment & rehabilitation of the lower limb with an emphasis on effective and efficient activation and strengthening of the primary muscles of the lower limb required to reduce pain, maximise rehabilitation and facilitate a successful return to sport. The Art & Science of Lower Limb Rehabilitation is a lecture/workshop I have presented in Australia, Asia and Europe and continue to present at numerous conferences and physiotherapy associations and paramedical/fitness and exercise groups.I hope to use the knowledge I have gained as a physiotherapist to teach and interact with other physiotherapists to improve the outcomes for our patients and athletes from the amateur to the elite level.
