There is much controversy in the area of head and neck pain and TMD issues specifically as well as Dental participation in Sleep Medicine. My goal is to educate as many dentists and physicians as well as ancillary providers on the need to find a common ground and patient centric, coordinated treatment. I provide lectures, expert testimony, and advice for developing relationships with the medical community There is also a deficit in experts that deal with both plaintiff and defense cases. Building trust with the legal community through unbiased analysis and straightforward testimony is a large part of my mission to return gifts given to me and to improve the public perception of the profession.

My practice is dedicated to the management of complex medico-dental issues with a special emphasis on Sleep Disorders and Orofacial Pain (TMJ). I also provide orthodontic services from early intervention to surgical orthodontics using both Traditional and Invisalign techniques. Over the past 25+ years, I have forged unique relationships with the medical and dental community, developing a "clinic without walls"​. This unprecedented access to thousands of physicians and alternative providers allows me to not just pay lip service to treating the "whole patient"​. I have treated tens of thousands of cases with great success and am obsessed with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of degenerative joint disease of the TMJ, particularly in adolescents. This has led to increased focus on airway, posture and developmental disorders. The common denominator of inflammatory conditions and endocrine imbalance is proving to be major etiologies in potentially debilitating and life threatening diseases. The remainder of my career is focused on research, education and eradication of these disease states. I credit the innovative staffs at Mercy Medical Group/Dignity, Sutter Medical Group and U.C.Davis Medical Center Physicians for their support and dedication. I am honored to be a Diplomate and founding member of the American Academy of Pain Management. I also belong to numerous organizations dedicated to Facial Pain and Sleep Medicine and am proud of our participation in the TruDenta Migraine management programI am active in the community and live by the "Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve" motto of the Christian Brothers. I was Chair of the Mercy General Hospital Community Council, and served on this Board for 7 years. I am most proud of the work done by this organization on the Alex Spanos Heart Vascular Center. I also am an active supporter New Helvetia Theatre and other innovative arts and theatre companies.

My primary responsibility is to promote innovative theatre and bring programs to Sacramento that would normally be seen in major cities. I have underwritten many of the programs and actively raise funds. I am also instrumental in construction of sets and aiding in design.
