Dr. Mouza Al Ameri is a Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon and Assistant Professor of Surgery at UAE University and Tawam Hospital. With over a decade of experience in breast cancer surgery and research, she is dedicated to improving patient outcomes and advancing the field of oncoplastic surgery in the UAE.Dr. Al Ameri currently serves as the Chief of the Breast Care Center at Tawam Oncology Center (SEHA), where she leads initiatives focused on enhancing patient care and empowering breast cancer survivors. She is the initiator of the UAE’s first Cancer Survivorship Program and co-founder of the country’s first Cancer Genetic Clinic, reinforcing the importance of early detection and personalized treatment strategies.In 2019, Dr. Al Ameri became the first physician elected to the UAE Federal National Council, serving as a strong advocate for healthcare policies and initiatives at a national level. Her tenure emphasized the importance of public health, cancer awareness, and improving access to advanced medical care across the UAE.Academically, Dr. Al Ameri holds a Master’s in Healthcare Leadership from the University of Manchester and completed a Fellowship in Breast Oncoplastic Surgery from the University of Cologne, Germany. She is also a University of Manchester Alumni Ambassador (2024), reflecting her dedication to leadership and continuous learning in the healthcare sector.Driven by a passion for breast cancer research, patient advocacy, and medical education, Dr. Al Ameri regularly lectures at national and international conferences.
