 Completed 2 comprehensive simulation studies to understand effectiveness of CO2 injection in huff-puff mode to remove condensate blockage in gas well.  Heavily involved in Project Management related to applied research in hydrocarbon recovery (EOR) that includes idea conception, project planning, execution, coordination, reporting, and support in field deployment. Completed comprehensive reports (white papers) on several current and upcoming projects such as Fracture Mapping, CO2 Application to Mitigate Gas-Condensate Blockage, Novel Techniques for Heavy Oil & Tarmat.  Successfully field deployed several projects such as ExoClean, CO2 huff-n-puff to address gas-condensate issues. Handled upstream EOR research projects in collaboration with industry, academia, service companies, and various North American and European research institutes.

 Represent the company during project planning and budgeting with various Service Companies. Ensure company’s standards with Service Companies when conducting various lab-based petrophysical studies such as Relative Permeability, Capillary Pressure, Electrical Properties, and all Routine Core Analyses.  Expert in conventional and special core analysis (SCAL). Conducted numerous SCAL studies such as oil-water steady-state and unsteady-state relative permeability, capillary pressure by mercury injection and centrifuge, electrical properties, etc. Provided consultation in for various applied upstream research projects, such as CO2-EOR, by conducting data analyses, interpretations, report writing, and presentations. Oversee ongoing activities related to technical studies, in a variety of subject areas, including enhanced oil recovery, petrophysics, reservoir description, and other special E&P studies. Led 16 members multidisciplinary team “ACTI” to provide technical assessment of Digital Rock Physics technology used for conventional and SCAL related core analyses. Completed a comprehensive research report (white paper) on DRP and presented to the higher level management. Worked as a leading team member to execute GIANT project. This project was focused on evaluating the recovery factor of the largest oil reservoir (Ghawar) in the world. Train junior scientists, engineers and technicians.

 Conducted and consulted collaborated research work with the faculty members of University of Regina. Joint supervision of graduate (MS & PhD) students.

 Continue delivering undergraduate and graduate courses initiated earlier as an Assistant Professor. Supervised several graduate and undergraduate students. Designed several physical models to conducted research in various EOR areas.  Got PTRC grant (~$500,000) to conduct/complete various research projects such as Thermal EOR Laboratory, Experimental Studies to Investigate the Effects of Multi-Vibrations on various EOR Techniques, and Experimental Studies for Controlling Water-Coning by Using Dual Completion Techniques.

 Taught Formation Evaluation, Production Engineering, Drilling Engineering, Advanced Production Engineering, Introduction to Petroleum Engineering, Final Year Project Start-Up, and Advanced Secondary Oil Recovery (Advanced Water flooding). Got a combine grant of around $1.2 million from NSERC, PTRC and UoR to conduct applied research projects in SAGD, VAPEX, Enhanced Waterflooding, and EOR using Magnetic Nano-Fluids.  Got a new version of CMG software for reservoir simulation worth $600,800. Joint project with another faculty member to examine effects of CO2 injection in Weyburn. Joint project with SRC for waterflooding in heavy oil reservoirs. Setup new Production Engineering, Drilling Engineering and EOR Laboratories.

 Consultancy provided to initiate graduate program and EOR research activities at UET, Lahore, Pakistan Delivered seminars about the potential areas of collaboration between the UET and PTRC/UoR. Also, visited several governmental & university officials to establish a wide range of research and academic collaboration. Established collaboration between UET and UoR by signing an MOU between the Heads of the two institutions.

 Developed specialized techniques to measure steady sate and unsteady state relative permeability and capillary pressure curves, simultaneously. Co-supervision provided to a Ph.D. student at the University of Alberta. Support Faculty Members in teaching and research.

 Learn techniques of collecting information about oil and gas technologies for further developments. Improved sales and business development, effective presentation and technical report writing skills. Completed report on "Horizontal Well Drilling Opportunities in Western Canada”, "Opportunities for Natural Gas Utilization in Refrigeration Technologies", and "Opportunities for Handling Waxy Crude Oils.

 Got expertise in coreflooding, core analysis and in measuring of petrophysical properties of consolidated and unconsolidated porous media and fluid systems. Computer aided data handling, interpretation and management. Technical report writing and analytical analysis skills. Gain designing, hand-on fabrication, and project management expertise.

 Got expertise in Production and Reservoir Engineering related testing such as PLT, RFT, DST; and, surface facilities, reserve estimation, reservoir description and management. Got training, communication skills and experience in complex Well Testing and Well Logging from Schlumberger.
