As a viral disease specialist I am working with molecular techniques for the diagnosis of disease. Previously, woref as an Assistant Professor at PMAS Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi, I have been teaching and researching in the field of bionanotechnology for over five years. I have a PhD in Bionanotechnology from Università degli Studi di Genova, Italy, where I developed novel bio-based composites and biomaterials using mycelium, a fungal network that can grow on plant waste and form sustainable and biodegradable building materials. I have also worked on biosensors, nanostructures, and nanodrug delivery systems using microfluidic devices and microbes on a chip.In addition to my position at PMAS, I have been teaching courses in nanobiotechnology and microbiology at Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi and Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, for the past three and two years, respectively. I have an extensive knowledge across a variety of disciplines, such as genetics, Structural biology, tissue culture, DNA extraction, and microbial study. I am passionate about utilizing waste for useful purposes, such as creating nanofertilizers and dressing materials. I have excellent coaching and mentoring skills, and I enjoy collaborating with multi-cultural teams and learners. I am fluent in English, Urdu, and Italian, and I have multiple publications and patent in the field of bionanotechnology.
