Typical and Responsibilities: • Assists Dean in Faculty operations.• Assistant Dean typically reports to the Dean.• Supervises and coordinates various Faculty activities.• Serves as a resource and referral source for students seeking various types of assistance.• Serves on University councils, committees, workgroups, and other bodies.• Works as a liaison for the local community and especially local bodies of higher education.• Develops and implements strategic planning specific to programs within the department including marketing and staffing.• Collaborate with the Dean and other department entities to oversee the academic program and ensure quality faculty and student support services.• Provides direction and assistance in the preparation of budget requests; monitors budgeting expenditures at all levels.
