Fortunately one of the first products to come along was this amazing device invented by a local Calgary dentist to treat sleep disorders, such as snoring and sleep apnea, which impacts a staggering number (hundreds of millions) of people worldwide.The product is remarkably simple. A device that resembles a baby’s pacifier could help tackle snoring and sleep apnea.But why would anyone want to wear a ‘baby soother’ to sleep? Surely, there must be other treatment options available. When Nancy first ‘looked’ at this product in 2007, she was struck by comments made by those who suffer from snoring and sleep apnea… “my partner snores and it is destroying our marriage”, “my brother has sleep apnea, but he hates CPAP”, “my cousin snores like a freight train and spent $3000 on a custom oral appliance, but it hurts his jaw”. “I have a friend who could use this device, and they can’t afford CPAP or a custom appliance”. Nancy quickly realized that everyone has a friend or relative who suffers from snoring or sleep apnea. It was very clear to Nancy what she needed to do, and so began MPowrx™ and her journey to bring this innovative treatment option to as many people worldwide as possible.
