I have dedicated my career to serving both urban and rural school districts as a paraprofessional, teacher, assistant principal, principal, Executive Director of schools, and Assistant Superintendent. Currently I am serving as as the Chief Academic Officer in the Boulder Valley School District; Colorado’s 8th largest school district. In this position, I am able to be an advocate for all students; while working to systemically remove barriers for students of color, multilingual learners, and students with special needs. It is with pride that I lead Multi Tiered Systems of Support, Literacy, Special Education, Gifted Education, Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Education, STEAM, ECE, and our Equity for Teaching & Learning departments. I am passionate about teaching & learning and identifying systems that not only build relationships with people yet also provide clarity and expectations to the system. I am both passionate and driven to think critically about opportunities for all students.
