The objective of this program is put IMT and Kellogg students in a pair (Buddy) to conduct research in the rural and key issues in the development of India. Attended Faculty Development Programme at IIM Ahemedabad. This is a four-month, residential programme, specially designed for the faculty members of management institutes and focusses on developing the pedagogical and research skills.

Joined a 95 % aided school established in mid-70’s in 2001. The school was supported by government aid and was going through a tough phase with total strength of less than 100 and issues around quality of staff and education. The focus of school for all these years had been to provide basic education at minimal cost. Did an analysis to understand the gap and refocused the effort by making the education more contemporary and relevant. Managed the school as head of institute with a team of 20 teachers and developed strategies to improve the education standard and strength of the school (school strength became 500+ in next few years).

Set up a retail franchise of Amartex Corporation (a textile company) and computer education franchise of Punjab InfoTech. The Amartex franchise required hands-on sales planning, store management, inventory management, working capital management & financing and managing franchisee relationship. The franchise of Punjab InfoTech required identifying and attracting potential students, arranging right trainers and developing and maintaining physical infrastructure. In addition, it required the franchise to follow the guidelines and ensure compliance with government regulations.
