I am a seasoned professional with a robust career spanning 22.5 years in OYA youth corrections. Beginning as an entry-level worker and rising to the ranks of facility administrator, I have honed my leadership, management, and problem-solving abilities to become an effective agent of change. My passion lies in empowering both youth and my staff to realize their potential and take the necessary steps to be the best versions of themselves.With an academic background rich in psychology and counseling, including a bachelor's degree in psychology, a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, I have dedicated myself to the mental health field. Currently, I am a professor of mental health counseling at Corban University.In addition to my work in academia, I've owned and operated a mental health private practice for 17 years, where I've taken special interest in helping clinicians earn their hours to become licensed as mental health professionals through clinical supervision. I also specialize in helping clinicians learn how to build a cash paying private practice. My pride and joy in the profession is the development and implementation of my Anger Resolution program. This initiative has been groundbreaking in aiding men to gain complete control over anger, leading to improved relationships and personal well-being.Outside of my professional life, I find fulfillment in mental wellness, physical fitness, small-factor homesteading, coaching sports, reading, and learning about cryptocurrency.
