As a psychologist, I see individuals and couples who are experiencing challenges that are negatively impacting their quality of life. These difficulties include difficulties at school, home, and in the work place and are variously experienced by children (from the age of 9), adolescents, working age adults and retired adults. The specific difficulties include bullying, fragile self-worth, depression, anxiety, trauma (including PTSD), dissociation, psychosis, conflict- avoidance, inability to be assertive and all type of functional neurological and other somatic disorders (previously described - unhelpfully - as Medically Unexplained Symptoms).In the corporate world, I work with Banks, Law Firms and Accountancy Practices to evaluate whether there are (invisible) systemic inequities - as well as policies - which disadvantage women at Board level, Managing Directors, or middle management. Consequent group and individual work is aimed at improving the lives of employees and both the reputation and productivity of the corporation.
