I oversee curriculum and assessment developments across early childhood and primary education as Deputy-CEO of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA). I am a former principal of Ard Rí Community National School, which I founded in 2010. I have worked in NCCA since 2013 during which time I led the development of the Primary Language Curriculum/Curaclam Teanga na Bunscoile, the Review of Relationships and Sexuality Education, developments in Education about Religions and Beliefs and Ethics, updating Aistear- the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework, and the finalisation of the Primary Curriculum Framework. I hold a Masters in Educational Leadership from Maynooth University, and a Doctorate in Education from Dublin City University.
