With the knowledge and experience I have gained since qualifying as a children and young people’s mental health nurse, I have obtained great leadership and personable skills. I am a transformational leader. I have a great deal of integrity, high emotional intelligence, with the gift of being able to motivate a shared vision, through good communication, being self-aware, authentic, and humble. I have significant experience of co-producing facilitating systems change across multiple sectors related to children, young people, and young carers. I have developed expertise in translating strategy and policy into current clinical and non-clinical practice, based on pertinent co-produced iterative evidence, including data and voices of lived experience. I continually advocate co-production, which is the foundation of my practice, research outputs and the development of new service provision. I have significant experience of working with academic establishments across the UK and within internationally, in commissioning, co-producing, and disseminating translational research. As a children and young people’s mental health/public health nurse I have a depth and breadth of knowledge and experience of working within the child protection framework. Importantly, I have a lifetime’s experience of living and working in the Armed Forces sector, specifically military connected children, and young people.
