I started professional career as entrepreneur by manufactring television and antenna in 1987.In 1989, I joined IDCO Odisha as Assistant Manager. I looked after installation and commissioning of Electrical equipments such as transformers, CT, PT, control and protection panels at upper kolab hydroelectric power station , Odisha.In 1992, I joined as Lecturer at Department of Electrical Engineering, University College of Enginnering, Burla Odisha (Established by Govt of Odisha in 1956). Govt of Odisha upgraded the college to Veer Surendra University of Technology in 2009. I became Professor in 2010 on selection basis . At VSSUT, I have taught subjects of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Engineering at UG and PG level.My specialization are Power System Planning, Operation, Control, Reliability, Application of AI to power system, Computer Network and computer security, MATLAB Application. I have over 30 years of academic and administrative experience. I have worked at all levels of the University such as Head (EED), Dean (Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy), Coordinator (MCA), Professor in Charge (Central Internet and Central Computer), Chairman of various committee. I have good interaction with local industries HINDALCO, Vedant, WESCO, MCL etc.As Dean I have framed the first operating rules and manual for SRIC projects. I have completely designed, installed and commissioned University LAN under NMEICT scheme of Govt of India. I have modernized the Central Computer Facilty by incorporating latest technology and computers. I played key role in office automation, library automation and infrastructural development of University.I have revised existing BTech and MTech program curriculum and introduced new BTech and MTech curriculum. I introduced many new courses such as Power System Reliabilty, Power System Management, Electrical Installation Design, Professional Ethics for Engineers, Smart Grid, (the list is quite exhaustive).I have actively participated in framing the University statute, accounts manual, academic regulations, purchase rules and other rules, regulations.I have also organized several FDP.Post retirement, I have worked as visiting professor at IIIT Vadodara, MVJCE Bengaluru, IIIT Naya Raipur ( teaching and mentoring BTech students of CSE, Information Sciences and DSAI students)
