Dr. Peter H. Cheng is a practicing geriatric medicine physician in Northern California. A graduate of Harvard University, Peter received his medical training at Baylor and Johns Hopkins. He has also served on the medical school faculty of Johns Hopkins and Stanford. Through his career as an aging specialist, Peter has established, mentored, and supported interdisciplinary professional teams passionate about caring for the aged. He finds inspiration in caring for patients in multiple clinical settings---from the acute hospital to the medical office, patients’ homes, assisted living, skilled nursing facilities, lifecare communities, inpatient hospice, and telehealth. He is also the founder of our nation's first ever Shared Medical Appointments in Successful Aging. Peter is energized by discovering and implementing "new ways of caring for older people". Aging Well, a national publication for geriatrics professionals, featured him as one of its five national “Noteworthy Geriatricians of 2013”.Peter is also an enthusiastic violinist who represents USA in the World Doctors Orchestra, performing benefit concerts throughout Europe, North America, and Asia.
