I have more than 25 years of experience in climate research, management, decision support, and communication. At ICF, I help to lead our work focused on helping companies, governments, and other organizations prepare for the threats and opportunities presented by climate change. Our team has undertaken hundreds of such assignments both in the United States and internationally. I've applied my expertise to challenges faced by clients in several different sectors including energy, transportation, health, conflict and peacebuilding, mining, park and military facilities, and global economics. My analytical work has included climate vulnerability assessment, adaptation planning, physical climate modeling, integrated assessment modeling, and remote sensing. Prior to joining ICF I served as the Director of the US Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) Office, where I supported federal strategic planning and action on climate research, assessment, and decision support issues that cut across multiple Federal agencies. I have led or contributed to the framing and development of dozens of climate change assessments at the National Research Council, USGCRP, and ICF. I recently served as an author of the International Chapter of the U.S. National Climate Assessment.
