Vascular neurologist with national and international experience in acute stroke care and clinical stroke research. Neurology residency was followed in 2012, by two clinical research fellowships in stroke care at the University hospital Bern (supported by EFNS grant) and at the University Hospital Lausanne (supported by ENS grant). Between 2012 and 2016 working as a research collaborator at the University Hospital of Laussanne in order to obtain a joint PhD UA-UNIL (Medical Sciences) concerning acute stroke care, multimodal imaging and prediction models.Since 2013 working as a neurovascular consultant at the Unversity Hospital of Antwerp and at the Groeninge hospital (Kortrijk, Belgium) were we focus on inovative projects (especially mobile health) for acute and chronic, integrated stroke care. Appointed in 2019 as guestprofessor at the Dept of Translational Neurosciences, University of Antwerp.
