I also appeared as a guest on a political radio talk show and authored a weekly political opinion column.► To mitigate the narrative that the DLP Government had destroyed sports in Dominica, I championed through media coverage that the stadium had not deprived neighbors of a practice facility.► I differentiated the DLP from other parties by showcasing its history predating all other rival political parties.► By orchestrating campaigns and other events for publicity, I galvanized party activists and intensified political engagement.► I strengthened the DLP’s political base, earning recognition from the Prime Minister, promoting the organization through TV, video, radio, and print media.► To counteract a growing controversy over the East Caribbean Dollar and ALBA’s virtual currency, I spoke at a press conference to clarify the situation.

As the Prime Minister’s Head of the Mission to Caracas, I managed $200M+ in projects spanning health, education, petroleum products, and more and positioned Venezuela as a Caribbean neighbor.► I increased the uptake of university scholarships to Venezuela 100% by promoting international relations and the scholarship program, as well as recruiting and supporting students.► To avoid the disruption of Dominican students’ medical training when Venezuela’s climate became rife with economic, social, and political risks, I negotiated with Cuban Government to transfer them.► Enhancing international relations, I played a key role in planning and executing a seamless State visit of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Dominica.► I coordinated policy proposals as the foundation for stimulus packages, as a member of the Minister’s delegation to Extraordinary Meeting of ALBA: Summit on World Financial Crisis.

Tapped to drive the success of this start-up international development bank, I worked closely with directors of Bolivia, Cuba, Nicaragua, St. Vincent, and Grenadines.► I identified and seized the opportunity to participate in the construction of a new financial architecture for the region.► To fuel profitability, I collaborated on a 6-person Board of Directors to create systems, processes, policies, and investment planning in energy, agriculture, manufacturing, and agro-processing.

As the founding National Coordinator of ALBA, I drove $100M+ in projects in the tourism, infrastructure, and environment sectors. I interpreted Government policies and managed public relations strategies.► Ensuring the success of a new multilateral cooperation with Dominica’s Prime Minister, I designed, planned, and launched a new office and its systems, processes, and procedures.► I increased party activists backing citizens’ advantages from the Government’s relationship with Venezuela, despite radical partisanship through talk radio appearances, promoting nonpartisan benefits.► As an unofficial advisor to countries interested in following Dominica’s lead on multilateral cooperation, I gained the participation of sister Eastern Caribbean countries.► To generate awareness of business and trade opportunities created by ALBA, I held meetings with participants seeking civic and business leads and contacts with Dominican authorities and presented to business and government leaders on ALBA’s purpose.► Using Venezuela as a bridge to build relationships with Nicaragua, Ecuador, and Bolivia, I helped diversify Dominica’s relations in Latin America.► By highlighting less visible reciprocal actions, I defended against the Opposition’s narrative that ALBA’s cooperation with Dominica was detrimental.► I leveraged transparency and diplomacy to defuse public distrust following ALBA’s “secret” signing on of Dominica by the Prime Minister.

Involved in various critical initiatives, I drove positive diplomatic relations and support for the Prime Minister.► To bolster party support, I discussed the impacts of a new annual national budget on live TV within 2-4 hours after the Minister of Finance’s budget presentation to Parliament.► I presented in 3 talk radio shows, showcasing statistical evidence on students’ quality and equity gains to combat the Opposition’s narrative about adverse impacts of the Government Universal Secondary Education policy.► For rapid funding to Haiti after an earthquake, I served as a delegate and finalized a multi-million dollar ALBA Recovery Package.► I participated in an ALBA meeting in Nicaragua that continued on to Washington for negotiations to re-instate President Manuel Zelaya of Honduras after he was overthrown for ALBA membership.► Through negotiation with anti-government protestors impeding the only north-south highway to the Capital on the west coast, I was instrumental in resolving the blockage within 12 hours with no injuries or arrests.► To stimulate the local economy, I promoted medical education tourism by brokering a partnership agreement for investments into Ross University School of Medicine.► Appointed to a committee to document the new Prime Minister’s first 100 days in office, I tracked the achievement of promises made on the campaign trail to maintain high political support.
