My title is “Doctor” but I am so much more than that. As a physician, I am a compassionate, well-rounded healer. As an entrepreneur, I have developed and sustained successful businesses. As a person, I am a lifelong learner and a leader. Some of my proudest accomplishments occurred during my Mayo Clinic fellowship. I authored a seminal review article on cephalosporin allergy that was published in the New England Journal of Medicine. Also, I received the 2000 Mayo Distinguished Fellow Award. In my private medical practice, I have successfully integrated both allopathic and integrative medicine. I’ve spoken on chronic cough nationally and internationally. Having held several leadership positions with the AAAAI (including developing the first committee and education forums on cough), I have earned the reputation as an expert and the media often seeks to interview me on a variety of topics.I am proud to say that I was behind the expansion of my clinic from 2 sites to 9. I achieved this, in part, through relationship-building, marketing, media relations, and of course going the extra mile for my patients. I co-manage 11 staff and am responsible for all aspects of the practice.I have extensively studied integrative approaches, including ayurveda, acupuncture, functional medicine, nutritional medicine, meditation, humor and yoga. I'm passionate about public education on health and wellness. Physicians these days need to be tech-savvy. In my practice I have evaluated and tested software and worked with a variety of EMRs. Since I'd had mixed experience with technology development companies, I decided to co-found TechVelocity Partners (TVP). TVP is a company that helps medium-sized healthcare and other companies move business forward. We pride ourselves on developing insightful consulting through multi-specialty experts, faster startup, optimized speeds, and more.I have also served as an advisor for several start-up and pharmaceutical companies.
