Dr. Prashanth C R received the B E degree in Electronics, the M E degree in Digital Communication and the Ph.D. degree from Bangalore University, Bangalore. He is currently Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Controller of Examinations at SJB Institute of Technology, Bangalore. His research interests include Signal Processing, Biometrics, Communication Engineering, Device Modeling and Engineering Education. He has over 70 research publications in refereed International Journals and Conference Proceedings. One scholar has obtained PhD and five are pursuing PhD under his supervision. He has authored a book titled “Information Theory and Coding”. He is resource person for OBE and Accreditation. He has delivered talks on CBCS, OBE and Accreditation under AICTE-Margadarshan Scheme. He has served as a member of Board of Studies of Autonomous Institutions, VTU and UVCE, Bangalore University, Dayanada Sagar College of Engineering, Board of Examiners for Bangalore University and Visvesvaraya Technological University, NMIT and RVCE. He is a senior member of IEEE and ACM, member of IACSIT, and life member of Indian Society for Technical Education, New Delhi and Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India).
