Dr. Puneet Pathak is currently working as Principal Scientist at Ayurvet Research Foundation, Delhi. Earlier, he was associated with Avantha Centre for Industrial Research and Development (ACIRD) as Sr. Research Scientist in the Nanotechnology and Advanced Biomaterials Group from May 2012 to November 2022. He completed his Ph.D. (Industrial Microbiology) from I.I.T. Roorkee, Roorkee, Post Graduation (Microbiology) from C.C.S. University, Meerut and P.G. Diploma (Biotechnology) from U.P. Technical University, Lucknow. He has more than 10 Years of research experience (post Ph.D. research experience about 8 years). His research interests are industrial enzymes, recycling (deinking), fermentation, biotechnological applications in the pulp & paper industry, biorefinery, biofuels, wastewater treatment and valorization of lignocellulosic biomass. He has published 23 research papers in reputed peer-reviewed international journals and attended 19 national and international conferences in India. He completed about 4 Goverment sponsored projects of a total cost of around INR 3 Crores; i.e. two DBT-funded projects entitled "Process development for the cost effective production of fungal endoglucanase, lipase and amylase for deinking of newsprints and mixed office waste papers" and "Efficient utilization of sugarcane top for production of cellulosic ethanol and other value-added products", One DST project entitled “Utilization of banana stem juice for renewable energy and value-added products” and one CESS funded project entitled “Study on preparation of cellulose micro/ nanofibrils and their potential in paper making" recently. He is also involved in several other projects (internal) in the area of biorefinery and value-added products.
