Dr. Ravi Mallick has over 40 years of diversified experience in various areas of petroleum exploration & production in India and abroad. A post-graduate in Applied Geology from IIT, Kharagpur, he holds a Doctorate Degree in Petroleum Technology from the Institute of Petroleum Technology and an Oil & Gas MBA Degree from CWC School of Energy Studies, London. Dr. Mallick started his career in Oil India Limited in 1981 where he served for 18 years in various capacities and gained valuable experience in leading multidisciplinary teams for a number of projects pertaining to exploration, appraisal, development, production, and operation of oil & gas fields in Northeast India.Dr. Mallick served as head of Jubilant Energy's newly created Exploration & Production Division and under his leadership, Jubilant set up a diversified portfolio of 8 E&P assets within a span of 6 years. He served Reliance (RIL) as Country Head- Exploration in its International Business Development Division for about a year and responsible for E &P activities for 3 large exploration blocks and a medium size producing field in Yemen.Dr. Mallick served GSPC for 3 years as General Manager-Exploration responsible for management of a diversified portfolio of 61 exploration & production assets in India and abroad including 15 small to medium sized producing oil & gas fields in Gujarat .He also served for over 3 years as Country Head & Exploration Manager based at GSPC’s office at Cairo, Egypt. He was responsible for management of exploration activities in 3 large offshore blocks in Mediterranean/Read Sea and one extensive onshore block in logistically difficult Western Desert. Dr. Mallick served for over 3 years in Sahara Group as Business Head- Oil & Gas / Mining /Power in its high profile Strategic Management Group reporting to Chairman's Office based at Mumbai, India. Dr. Mallick is a Certified Petroleum Geologist from Division of Professional Affairs, American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), USA. He is an active member of Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), USA.Dr. Mallick published over 40 technical papers on various areas of petroleum exploration and production in international/national journals. The Marquis Who’s Who Publication Board has included Dr. Mallick’s name in the ‘Who’s Who in the World’ in the year 2000 for his outstanding achievements in the field of Petroleum Science & Engineering. Dr. Mallick has been involved in oil & gas consultancy services for E &P Company in India and abroad for over 6 years and open to similar opportunities.
