My book, High School Is Not Enough: What are you going to about It? (June 2013) is a salient and actionable guide confronting one of our nation’s most pressing crises: high non-completion rates and high student debt. That many students leave K – 12 schools lacking the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in post secondary preparation contributes greatly to a growing absence of readiness experienced by many for today’s and tomorrow’s jobs and careers. My articles and talks focus on diversity, equity and inclusion issues. Their impact on institutionalized bias and societal stressors upon individual and community health and well-being concerns me greatly. My writing is intended to inform current discourse on issues and conflict centering on pigmentation differences.
