Title: Studies on the catalytic applications of biogenic gold nanoparticlesThe catalytic efficiency of cyclic glucan capped gold nanoparticles was tested in the reduction of p- nitrophenyl substrates to p-amino phenyl ester substrates. This reaction is popularly studied model to evaluate the catalytic efficiency of gold metal nanoparticles. The reduction was catalysed by both immobilized as well as free nanoparticles, which occurs in the aqueous solvent system at ambient temperature condition.
