My contributions in the total synthesis of architecturally diverse natural products are well-reflected towards the total synthesis of 17 natural products, which includes Pectinolide H, Cryptomoscatone D1, D2, E1, F1, (5R,7S)-Kurzilactone, 8-Methoxygoniodiol, (3R,5R)-1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-7-phenylheptane-3,5-diol, Cryptorigidifoliol B, (+)-Goniodiol,(6S,7S,8S)-Goniodiol, Parvistone A, B, D, E, 8-Chlorogoniodiol and Goniothalesdiol A. Moreover, I involved in the design and development of anticancer analogs. Some of the molecules showed promising anticancer activity. I have successfully employed enzymes as biocatalysts for the synthesis of industrially important versatile key intermediates. I have developed a new enzymatic route to the synthesis of Rosuvastatin (Anti-cholesterol). The process developed for enzymatic synthesis of Moxifloxacin (antibiotic) intermediate has been published in Org. Process Res. Dev. The process development for Pregabalin (chronic pain) intermediate using immobilized lipase sponsored by Alekhya Drugs has been successfully completed at IICT. Most importantly, we have developed an improved process for the preparation of Cross-Linked Enzyme Aggregates for the recycling of enzymes (Indian Patent Appl. No. 201611009673).Recently, I developed new novel synthetic methodologies including Pd-catalyzed domino reactions for the synthesis of organic molecules, and Transition-Metal catalyzed remote meta-C-H bond functionalization. Moreover, we introduced a new and simple template (Satyanarayana-Ramesh Auxiliary), which enables the remote meta-C-H functionalization under mild reaction conditions.
