I am a researcher in Forest Ecology with extensive research and study on forest structure, disturbance, and composition of subalpine, temperate, and subtropical forests of different countries. My research area also includes forest conservation & disturbances, biodiversity & ecosystem functioning, and dynamics of functional diversity along secondary successional forests.I have experience of conducting research on high-altitude forests in Nepal and conducted research on the forest dynamics of the Himalayan subalpine, and temperate forests of Japan. I have also been involved in the study of tree rings, tree architecture, and topographical role in forest composition. I have performed various research activities and published research on certain tree species and forests in Poland and China. I am currently studying the status of rangelands in Nepal to assess the impact of degradation caused by climatic and non-climatic factors. Additionally, I am conducting a project that involves projecting extreme temperatures and precipitation in the country using the CMIP6 model. --External examiner for M.Sc. (Central Department of Environmental Science, Tribhuvan University, Nepal) dissertations,” Structural composition and regeneration of tree species in mid-mountain community forests: A case study from Lamjung district, Nepal” and, “Distribution and Association of Cycas pectinate Griff. In Bajho, Ilam in Eastern Nepal”.--Co-supervised B.Sc. thesis (Biology Department, Birendra Multiple Campus, Tribhuvan University). Title of the thesis, “Population structure and above ground biomass distribution of Shorea robusta forest in Barandabhar tropical forest”.--Worked on a couple of projects related to the rangeland of Nepal and climate change. --Published a couple of papers in the Forest Ecology and Management, Journal of Plant Ecology, Ecosphere, Polish Journal of Ecology, and Eurasian Journal of Forest Research.. Worked as a reviewer in an international peer-reviewed journal.
